On the left is the screen you should get when you

first start up mIRC. You need to put in your

nickname and change the server details to enable

you to log on to the GeordiNET chat server.

It isn't necessary for you to put in your full name

and email address, although you will need a valid

email address when registering your nickname on

the server later.

Before proceeding, make sure the invisble mode

box is ticked and an alternative nickname has been

entered.

You then need to change the server details.

To do this, click on servers, which is on the left

hand side menu.
